Computer Science Society
Treasurer, 2010 – Present
• Manage the ACM Student Chapter's budget and collaborate with President to allocate proper funding to club activities and administrative costs.
• Coordinate local programming contests and the school's ACM ICPC teams.
Bronco Pep Band

• Clean and tune up website for performance, organization, and compliance with the Cal Poly Pomona institution's web standards and policies.
• Update and maintain group's website with new events and important information.
Kellogg Honors College
Member, 2008 – Present
• Participate in challenging courses to further learn topics and inspire research ideas.
• Meet with other honors students and do community service activities that build leadership and foster teamwork such as raising money for foundations and charities.
Game Design and Appreciation Club
Co-Founder / Secretary, 2008 – 2010
• Helped organize events and meetings, such as topics or themes for discussion in the meetings. Also help prepare materials for club meetings and events and provide resources for our members.
• Represented the club at the governing council to further our interests as an aspiring group of students.
Mighty Marching Vaqueros Marching Band
Trumpet Section Leader, 2007 – 2008
• Leader of a twenty-five piece trumpet section in the marching band. Enforced standard behavior codes and rehearsal etiquette.
• Coordinated after school rehearsals and organized practice schedules to maximize efficiency of the given rehearsal time.
• Worked with other leaders of the band to improve the performance of the band by changing rehearsal techniques and editing the music and drill.
Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps
Soprano, 2006 – 2007
• Participated in a rigorous 8 month music and marching program that tests an individual's physical and mental endurance as well as the ability to think and execute rapidly in harsh fast-paced environments.
• Developed and honed many skills necessary to succeed in the critically team-based atmosphere.

Community Service
Free Arts for Abused Children, Los Angeles, CA
Volunteer, 2009 – 2010
• Helping run arts and crafts events for abused and disadvantaged children. Sit down with children and help them explore their creative side with themed craft days and individual crafts such as creating jungle masks.
• Work with groups of children in team-based activities such as creating a make-belief animal with various disposable items and piecing together a story to go along with it.
Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center, Irvine, CA
Volunteer, 2006 – 2007
• Drafted grant applications to ask several major corporations for donations and funding.
• Participated in team-oriented activities to repair and refurbish items for the non-profit organization.
Historical Society of Pomona Valley, Pomona, CA
Volunteer, 2008 – 2009
• Interviewed the director of the Pomona Public Library and documented his stories into the Historical Society's archives for future reference.
• Participated in an arts and crafts day for children. Created a scaled model of Stonehenge in order to visually show the children what it looked like and how it was constructed and held a craft event where the children could build their own out of construction paper.
• Helping maintain and restore a 160-year-old cemetery that is victim of continual vandalism.
Community Youth Orchestra of Southern California, Irvine, CA
Principal Trumpet, 2007 – 2008
• Performed in free concerts around the area with a community-based orchestra.
• Personally commended by Mayor Beth Krom of Irvine as a model student and musician at the final concert held with the city council and other dignitaries in attendance.
Irvine Invitational Field Tournament, Irvine, CA
Volunteer, 2004 – 2008
• Provided help in setting up and taking down temporary establishments.
• Organized necessary logistics such as signs, lights, and crowd control.
Irvine High School Jazz Festival, Irvine, CA

• Organized and supervised the running of a performance venue.
• Aided in setting up general booths and delivering materials to various sectors.
